The European Olympic Committees (EOC) is an organisation based in Rome, Italy, consisting of 50 National Olympic Committees from Europe. Among other duties, the EOC organizes three major multi-sport events; the European Youth Olympic Festival, the Games of the Small States of Europe and the European Games.
Following our rebrand of EOC , we were also commissioned to develop a new website for the organisation. Again, the drivers were to create a clean, responsive and easy to navigate website that would focus strongly on the visual elements of the brand and work intuitively across any device, particularly to facilitate the delivery of rich content such as videos. The team of experts at JTA worked closely with the client to create user journeys, to carry out research and to create a beautifully-designed, highly-functional website that met the brief and which gave the organisation a highly-effective new digital platform for marketing and communications activity to its broad international member base.
The website is designed to be responsive, robust, secure and easy to update by the EOC team using the integrated CMS system. This ensures maximum ROI for the client’s budget and linked analytics functionality ensures ongoing measurement and tracking of the website’s successful deployment and engagement.
In addition, we were also commissioned to produce a new website for the European Games, which is contested by athletes from across Europe and governed by the European Olympic Committees (EOC). This website needed to be extremely visual, to convey the passion, excitement and true visual spectacle of elite-level sports, with a seamlessly responsive design that would work across all devices and easy navigation for a smooth user experience.
We delivered upon every point and ensured that the brief was fully fulfilled, extending the new visual identity across the website to communicate the excitement, passion and dynamism of the event and the profoundly aspirational nature of the Olympic movement. The resulting website is immediately visual and engaging, instantly telling the story of the games and instilling a sense of excitement and engagement in the user. Stunning imagery, standout facts, hero images and a single scrolling template design are reminiscent of the experience of watching a live Olympic event and clear functionality guides the user through the features of the website.
